AAII Pittsburgh Chapter Picnic Location
The AAII Pittsburgh Chapter annual picnic is held at the Chippewa Shelter in Settler’s Cabin Park Driving DirectionsFrom East and South - Take I 279 S (Parkway West), which then becomes US 22/30, west towards the airport. Take the Campbells Run Rd.Exit. This is the first exit after Interstate 79. Turn left onto Campbells Run Rd. Go about 100 yds. and turn left at the sign for Settlers’ Cabin Park. Cross US 22/30. Next, turn right and go up the hill. Follow Common Directions listed below. From the North - Take I 79 S and exit at Route 60, towards the airport. Turn left onto Campbells Run Road and go 1.5 miles to a traffic light. Turn right at the traffic light and cross US 22/30. Turn right and go up the hill. Follow Common Directions listed below. From the West - Take US 22/30 east and get onto Route 60 going towards Pittsburgh (Robinson Twp. shopping area). Turn right onto Campbells Run Rd. and go 1.5 miles to a traffic light. Turn right at the traffic light and cross US 22/30. Turn right and go up the hill. Follow Common Directions listed below. Common Directions - At the top of the hill, go right on Ridge Road, headed west, into Settlers Cabin Park. Pass the wave pool and transit parking on the right. Go to the bottom of the hill. Turn left on at Settler’s Cabin Park entrance sign. Go about ½ mile to the “T” intersection. At the “T” intersection turn left onto Teepee Drive. Continue on Teepee past Mohawk shelter on the left to a large parking area (also on the left) across from Apache Shelter. This parking area is for Chippewa Shelter. Park in the lot and walk up the hill and towards the left to the shelter.
